Lazy Sunday afternoon

What better way of spending the best part of Sunday after a week of work and passionate experiences. The morning sun on your skin feels like spring in autumn. Just stay in bed, listen to your favorite easy going music and let go; just let go. Feel the tranquility enter your body. It’s an experience that will help you charge for a new week full of new challenges and thriving activities.

That’s what we wanted to capture during a photo shoot with fashion model Ilse. She wanted to extend her portfolio and I wanted to capture her happiness and natural beauty. As a team working closely together: the photographer, make-up artist and model take the feeling to a higher level and generate impressive results. For some it’s just a photograph. For me it’s the celebration of life, happiness and pure honesty.

When you look at the pictures you can envision the sun warming her skin. You might want to be closer to her and feel like reaching out to touch her soft skin and desire to stay in bed, do nothing and just relax. You just want to curl up to Ilse to feel her warmth and energy. That’s when we’ve accomplished the goal and touched that inner part of you that needs soothing.

So enjoy these pictures and make sure that you take the time to be lazy, to become relaxed and just be mesmerized by the hazy Sunday morning sun. Life just doesn’t get any better!

Autumn in Amsterdam

Walking through Amsterdam and seeing all the leaves falling from the trees I remembered an inspiring photo shoot with Georgina Verbaan. We wanted to capture the essence of feeling enthusiastic, young and  innocent for a visualization of a new television series “Floor Faber”. And what great photographs we were able to capture. They were even used to promote the “Floor Faber” clothing line in “De Bijenkorf”.
